How to Reset / Recover Default WordPress Administrator Password

WordPress is a Blog publishing application that is powered by PHP and MySQL, and it is gaining a lot of popularity these days, especially due to the abundance of user friendly features that they provide. Once installed you'll need a username and password for gaining access to all features like :
o Settings
o Configurations
o Posting Blogs and entries
Losing a password or username could be really frustrating, especially if the user is a WordPress Blog administrator. The person wouldn't be able to manage the Blogs without entering the proper username and password. To avoid such circumstances, WordPress has an inbuilt system which enables the user or administrator to recover the lost password.
During this password recovery process, WordPress users will not be able to view the existing password since it gets encrypted. Hence the password will be reset to a new password by using the Password Recovery method. After resetting the password, the user will be able to login to the WordPress Dashboard.
The easiest way to recover the password has always is by using the 'Lost Your Password' option. Once you click on the lost your password link, WordPress will provide access to a page where the user will be able to enter username or email address. Then the user has to click the 'Get Net Password' button. Instantly an email containing your present password is being sent to e-mail address that you provide.
Note:
The password recovery process will work only if the user provides a valid email address, the one which was used while registering the user profile. You will not be able to do the password recovery if you provide any other e-mail addresses. Once you receive the password on the e-mail, it would be better for you to reset it for security purposes.

Change or Reset Windows NT/2000 Administrator or User Password with chntpw in Linux
There are multiple ways to recover or reset forgotten administrator or user password of Windows NT, Windows 2000 and Windows XP. It often happens that users forget their administrator or user password.
However, there are numerous alternatives to fix this problem and get back the forgotten password using applications and software. There is one of the easiest and fitting ways to reset and change forgotten Windows NT/2000 administrator password is using the chntpw program. It is a Linux based program that will help users to reset password or change password.
It is especially designed to overwrite and set Windows 2000 and Windows NT SAM passwords of user, which has valid and logical account, by changing encrypted password in registry file (SAM file).
Now most of the users will think about how it will work when the computer will not start. This chntpw program is completely executable program and comes with bootable CD which can change password or reset user password. Another important point is that users do not need to remember passwords to reset or change password of administrator account or user account.
There are some points that need to be considered before starting this program.

• It works on NT system which is clearly offline.
• It can be used only in local machine i.e. users can not run this program on remotely computer to change or reset password.
• It comes in bootable CD which runs in startup process (booting) of computer.
• It can be installed on Linux System named, Ubuntu and then users can recover their passwords on windows by mounting or attaching windows drive, connected through IDE/SATA/SCSI interface or USB disk.

Chntpw Usage Guide

1. Embed Windows NTFS, FAT32 or FAT partition to Linux system, allowing read and write access support.
2. Browse SAM file for Windows XP, Windows 2000 or Windows NT which is usually located at \Windows\System32\config or\Winnt\System32\config. Alter directory in the folder, there are numerous files such as SYSTEM, SAM, and Security present.

Issue this command inside the folder in order to change administrator password: chntpw SAM
Now set the given command (reset the USERNAME with genuine name):
chntpw -u USERNAME SAM
This command is especially for single and specified user if you want to add more username then in SAM file then use this command:  chntpw -l SAM.

1. Now chntpw will display some notification and message on the screen afterwards it will prompt to reset or change passwords. Now you just enter new administrator or user password.
2. Detached the drive and restart computer to implement changes. Now your computer will be resettled with new password of user and administrator.

Finally, you are done and your password has been recovered.
Another option of running chntpw program to recover forgotten password will be displayed by following this command:  chntpw –h

Mailing lists are a great way to keep in touch with groups of people. Unfortunately, creating a new mailing list isn't always easy. For small groups, like family, friends, or a sports team, we often resort to long reply-all chains rather than taking the time to set up a list. Fiesta (fiesta.cc) is a new service that aims to change that, by making it super simple to create mailing lists.
To create a list using fiesta, just send an email to the members of your list and CC the name you'd like to use. For example, to create alist for your family, send an email to the group and CC family@fiesta.cc. For your soccer team, use soccer@fiesta.cc instead -you can use any list name you want. The list will be created as soonas you send your email, but you're able to add or remove members atany time.
The really cool thing is that fiesta ties the name of your list to the sending address. That means that you don't need to worry aboutregistering a unique list name – your family@fiesta.cc list is different than everyone else's family@fiesta.cc list.
This service isn't great for one-to-many lists, as any member of the group is able to send mail to the list. It's perfect for private group communication, though, like for families, sports teams, clubs, or businesses.

Everyday, the big Software Development organizations like Google and Microsoft are working on introducing new features in their already developed applications to give their customers more user friendly applications. However, when they add new features, they remove some very useful attributes from their applications too. It happened recently with the launching of Windows Live Messenger 2011 in which many new attributes and characteristics were introduced and many popular attributes have been removed too. The main removed attributes among them is Windows Live Messenger 2011′s block list.
Block list facility in messengers and other application is always useful to stop unwanted messages and emails and to ignore the people whom you don't want to interact with due to some personal reason or due to your busy schedule. When a user blocks a person on their messenger or email, it is not possible to see them appearing online or offline and message and email from the blocked person will not be delivered.
In new version of Windows Live Messenger 2011, the facility to block contacts has been removed. The removal of this has made all blocked contacts be reappeare at online status and are able to see the status of contacts who download the upgrade version of Windows Live Messenger 2011. 
Unfortunately, the users will not be able to block directly an unwanted person or contact in Windows Live Messenger 2011. However, they still can be on sn offline mode to the people or group of contacts by taking some workaround steps. This is notable that they cannot block the contacts, but can appear offline to the other parties and they will receive the messages and IM sent by other parties and the detail of the unwanted person like name will still be appeared in the contact list of WLM 2011.
If users want to appear offline to some contacts or group of contacts, then take below mentioned easy steps to do so:
Log in to Windows Live Messenger 2011. From your messenger's list, right click on the person's name in the list whom you want to be offline and click on the option "Apear Offline To This Person". and it is done. That's it.

Reduce Your Web Images According To Your Choice
Google applications are more famous worldwide, as all the web programs developed by Google are very user-friendly and can be used by everybody, including non computer literate users too. Apart from Google being known as fast search engine, now Google has introduced one more innovation in the world of internet and announced a facility of formatting images that enable users to reduce the image bytes and size significantly on the web and it facilitate websites to load even faster than it was before.
The name of this new facility is WebP mostly pronounced as "weppy", is a technique of compression of photographic images, which make an image more lighter in weight and it enables an image to upload or download more quickly. The WebP file reside in VP8 image data and is receptacle based on RIFF.
The WebP encode an image with prognosticate coding with same technology used at the time of compression in video by VP8 video codec system.

France has stepped forward, taken an old law from 1992, and used it to banish the words Facebook and Twitter from news stations. No longer are new casters allowed to say "Follow us on Facebook" or "Look to Twitter for more information later!" In fact the best news stations are allowed to say is "Look to your favorite social media sites online" So why in the world would France use an outdated law to put the ban hammer down on those words?
Logical, Are They ?
Their reasoning actually seems logical at first. They claim that when a news caster mentions Facebook or Twitter its actually advertising the social media sites, and that in turn isn't fair others. There are tons of other social media sites out there that news casters are not mentioning, so it's showing preference to those two.
France has been criticized before for banning words. Back in 2003 the word "e-mail" was banned because France wanted to protect the purity of their language. It seems odd that those who are enforcing these laws do not understand that language is constantly developing and that slang and internet words are used every day by the younger generation as well as the older generations.
Although France claims that the banning of Facebook and Twitter has nothing to do with language purity they are adamant in their decision. Unfortunately what they don't seem to realize is that the news is not favoring these sites, they are using the resources of the sites to spread the news to many more viewers who probably don't have time to sit around at a selected timeframe and watch the news.
I mean think about it, how many younger people sit around and watch the news? A few yes, but many more are on the computer on these social media sites. People are on the computer all of the time. These are common images that you see everyday:

Twitter And Facebook Making News Channels More Famous:
It is not the news sites that are giving popularity to Twitter and Facebook, in fact it is the other way around. News stations are using these sites to grow and expand, getting more and more viewers through multiple media outlets. These sites also bring the new stations more followers. With the constant updates, viewers are more likely to go to a TV and watch a breaking news story which in turn brings money to the network and new station.
So how is banning these words going to do anything other than harm the new station and bring more criticism towards France. It even brings even more attention to Facebook and Twitter. With both of those sites mentioned in the news due to this ban, they will likely receive more followers. The methods of the officials are old fashioned and need to be updated. Society is ever changing and evolves with technology, the laws governing the society need to evolve as well.

April 16th through April 19th the Sony Corporation was digitally broken into by a group of hackers that remain anonymous to this day. The effects have been crippling to the giant corporation and the hackers, much like David with his sling, used their elite skills to bring the giant.
The initial cost of the break-in was around $177 million, but the long term effects have yet to be observed. Numerous lawsuits and security upgrades will end up putting a much deeper dent in Sony's pocket.
So how many people were affected? And what was compromised? The initial attack by the anonymous hackers left over 100 million PSN user accounts compromised and vital information was possibly obtained: name, address, e-mail address, birth date, IP address, PSN password, billing information. A hacker could do irreparable damage to a person's life with that information, and Sony PSN users were just as concerned. After the initial attack the Sony Corporation shut down the PSN network on April 20th to try and assess and fix the damage.
On May 5th Sony CEO issued an official apology to PSN users on their blog as seen here. On top of that there was also an apology from Sony at the E3 convention that you can watch here:
On May 14th Sony starts restoring PlayStation Network services in the hopes that they can rebuild. Unfortunately for Sony, they were wrong.

Several other hacks on the Sony Corporation have happened since then and this time by hackers that have identified themselves, although the initial attackers are still unknown. On May 18th hackers targeted the password reset site for the PlayStation Network. Then from May 25th- 26th hacker groups targeted Sony sites in Greece, Canada, Indonesia and Thailand. And another blow, on June 3rd a hacker group going by the name of LulzSec claims to have hacked into the Sony Pictures website which resulted in the compromised information of around one million users.
LulzSec has stated that they targeted the site to demonstrate Sony's weakness and to try and teach consumers not to put their faith and information in a company that cannot protect itself. After they infiltrated the website they published the information of the consumers on their site. They claim to have made it their mission to hack Sony six times and released this message:

"We've recently bought a copy of this great new game called 'Hackers vs Sony,' but we're unable to play it online due to [PlayStation Network] being obliterated.
So we decided to play offline mode for a while and got quite a few trophies. Our latest goal is 'Hack Sony 5 Times,' so please find enclosed our 5th Sony hack.
ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED: HACK SONY 6 TIMES! Oh damn, we just did it again, please also find enclosed internal network maps of Sony BMG."



So why on earth is Sony being targeted? There is some speculation that besides Sony's poor security there was another incident that sparked outrage amongst the hackers. A young programmer and hacker named George Holtz had made it his mission to hack Sony products and had released some info out to the public. Sony, in response, took action on Holtz and they went to court. While the case was settled outside of court, many people, both in the general public and hackers, did not like the way Sony handled the situation.
Holtz denies any participation in the hacking of Sony's PSN and other websites, and it is still unclear what the hacker's true motives are, but it is not unlike hackers to target a corporation for a cause.
So what now? Sony is still fending off hacking attacks and sorely needs to update their security so that consumers are better protected and consumers are still being cautious. The situation is ongoing as more attacks are being reported and LulzSec is still waging its online war against the Sony Corporation. Best thing if you are a Sony Consumer is to keep all of your personal information off any of their sites and wait until the situation is resolved.

There is always a lot of controversy when it comes to smart phones, what operating system they use, which ones are better, and why. The latest trending topic is the rift that has occurred between Adobe and Apple.
Both of these multimedia electronic giants have been working together in an attempt to create a Flash player able to run on the iPhone. Unfortunately, as reported by Apple, Adobe promised a working version of Flash for the iPhone about two years ago, but has not delivered any results.
The problem with Flash is that it is unreliable and has constant issues. Adobe claims that without the Flash player, Apple users will be devastated at the lack of videos they can view on their devices. Unfortunately for Adobe, Apple has already found a solution.
Apple put their thoughts about Adobe Flash in a sixteen hundred word post on their site. To sum it up, Apple claims that Flash is a closed system and that Flash is outdated and unusable for Apple products. Apple is now going to use HTML5, CSS and JavaScript rather than Flash player. HTML5 gives more options for web developers and allows consumers to view graphics, animations and other media on the web without using a third party plug-in. In response to the post on Apple's site, Kevin Lynch (Adobe CTO) replied with a blog post as well. In his post he basically responded that Adobe will be working with Android smartphones and they will also be working with RIM, Palm, Microsoft, Nokia and others. Adobe is now going to take their toys elsewhere because Apple doesn't want to play nice.
So what does this mean for Apple users? Good news in fact. HTML5 is a sophisticated web browsing tool that will make it much smoother and easier for Apple consumers to browse on their iPhones. Also HTML5 is newer and more advanced than Adobe and it opens up a lot of opportunities for web developers to make smart phone use better than ever.
Now back to the original question: Did Adobe split from Apple or vice versa? From the looks of things, and order of posts, it seems that Apple actually cut the ties with Adobe, just Adobe made it more official and clearly stated they will not be working with Apple. Although who cares who split first? Good thing is that now Adobe will be working hard to develop a better Flash player and Apple will be working with HTML5 and competing. Competition leads to better products and lower prices which is always good for us consumers.

Change Your Display Name And Screen Name In Windows Live Messenger 2011
There are a lot of updates that have been made in the newly released version of Windows Live Messenger (previously called MSN Messenger). In the past, you were provided with the feature to change display name, nickname or screen name. The display name needn't necessarily have to be your real name. Now, Windows Live Messenger 2011 displays the details of first name and last name, which the user provides in Windows Live Profile, at the time of account creation

So, to change the personal details and display name, user has to make the changes in their configured and saved profile, which is inside the account profile of Windows Live. The original name is for the purpose of user identification in Windows Live Messenger, Hotmail, SkyDrive, and other parts of Windows Live.
Unfortunately, one more big change the user might face is the error message of "Your Name Contains Characters That Are Not Allowed", which is if they will try to add emoticons with their display name. The reason for this is, now the use of punctuation symbols are prohibited with the first name and last name.
